Vacancy: Sales Executive

We are seeking a self-motivated, experienced and dedicated Sales Executive to join our team. This individual will have to find new business opportunities and manage existing customer relationships. The ideal candidate should have an aptitude for selling innovative technology solutions and extensive experience in customer service. We expect the candidate to be a reliable professional, able to achieve balance between customer alignment and a results-driven approach.

The goal is to find opportunities and turn them into long-term profitable relationships based on trust and mutual satisfaction.

  • Relevant degree, diploma or experience


  • Previous contact centre and telephony experience and demonstrated use of solution selling concepts
  • Good knowledge of the contact centre and customer experience (CX) industry
  • Demonstrated competency in determining and analysing customer needs and recommending solutions in a competitive sales environment
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in selling IP-Telephony (IP-PBX), contact centre, and/or communications and infrastructure solutions
  • Experience in selling a full suite of communications solutions from network services, infrastructure, IP Telephony, LAN/WAN technologies, Telco-connectivity and Internet
  • Experience in selling Hosted and Cloud solution
  • Experience in selling Genesys solutions will be advantageous

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify, qualify and develop sales leads and opportunities
  • Engage organisations at Executive and C-level in new business development initiatives
  • Educate existing and potential client base with our product and service offering
  • Preparation and presentation of solutions and sales proposals
  • Regular updating of the Pivotal CRM systems and reporting on sales performance and sales process
  • Develop and execute appropriate sales strategies to meet sales and revenue objectives
  • Demonstrate value through solution selling practices to solve customer pain points
  • Propose solutions that leverage all company service

Skills required:


  • Organisational Skills – Ability to manage multiple prospects simultaneously
  • Competitive Selling – Ability to position Pivotal’s products and services against direct and indirect competitors and presenting a differentiating value proposition
  • Prospecting – Discipline and work ethic to build a pipeline
  • Forecasting – Ability to coordinate the closure of business on dates consistent with the accurate understanding of prospects’ buying cycles and company’s standing with prospects
  • Deal closure – Ability to negotiate at C-level to close business in line with forecasted dates


  • Advanced level of MS Office and PC proficiency
  • Sound knowledge of Contact Centre and IP Telephony solutions and applications
  • Familiarity with manufacturers such as Aspect, Ameyo, Avaya, Connex-One, Collab and Mitel are desirable
  • Sound understanding of On-premise, Hosted and Cloud based SIP technology including Telco connectivity
