Vacancy: Accounts Receivable Clerk

We are looking for a skilled Accounts Receivable Clerk to provide financial, administrative and clerical services. Accounts receivable duties include ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipt.

Key responsibilities
5 Follow up on outstanding debt and payment arrangements.
5 Allocate payments and send out statements.
5 Daily capturing/allocation of electronic customer account payments.
5 Create and process Invoices.
5 Collection of payments, facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
5 Occasional processing of credits.
5 Maintaining updated details of customer accounts on Pastel Evolution.
5 Liaison with sales reps.
5 Performing reconciliations against expenses to ensure all amount appropriately recovered.
5 Understanding the customer base and reporting on recoveries, etc.
5 Administration of Debtors accounts.
5 Perform monthly analysis on debtors, allocations and customer invoices.
5 Monthly feedback reports on customer accounts.
5 Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
5 Verify discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issue.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
5 5 to 6 years related experience.
5 Diploma or Bcom degree.
Job specific
5 Accounting skills.
5 Computer skills (especially MS Excel and Pastel).
5 Proven working experience as accounts receivable clerk, accounts receivable manager or accountant.
5 Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations.
5 Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
5 Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
5 Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software.
