Awards and Recognition
Partner of the Year 2018
Pivotal Data’s concerted efforts to grow Genesys within Africa, deliver world-class customer experience, and its numerous successful customer implementations were recognised and duly rewarded with the prestigious Genesys Partner of the Year award.
Genesys determines recipients of this award based on a combination of financial performance and the partner’s ability to deliver business excellence and achieve customer success and satisfaction when implementing Genesys solutions in its local market.
The award caps off a spate of accolades and achievements for Pivotal Data within the Genesys Partner Network, after the local managed services provider was recently recognised as Genesys’ leading partner in Africa based on financial performance and achieved Gold Partner status – the highest level within the partner program.
EMEA Migration Partner Award 2019
Pivotal Data received global recognition for cloud migration excellence with a Genesys EMEA Migration Partner of the Year 2019 award nomination. Pivotal Data was the only South African Genesys partner to make the category nominee list, alongside Deliberate from Germany and Coverage Group from France. The EMEA Migration Partner of the Year award recognises partners that support Genesys’ cloud migration strategy and vision. To qualify, nominees must work closely with Genesys across all departments, demonstrate expertise in hosted Genesys solutions and achieve subscription-based revenue targets by successfully migrating existing and new clients into the cloud.

Investing in our future leaders
Pivotal Data embraces its role as a good corporate citizen. We consider corporate social investment as an integral part of our business and provide resources, volunteering initiatives and funding to non-profit charity, Lumohawk.
Founded by Joel Stransky in 2013, LumoHawk believes that the future of this incredible country lies in the hands of today’s children. In order for South Africa’s dream to be realised, our children need to grow up inspired, filled with hope and with a true sense of self-worth. And education is the cornerstone of this process.
LumoHawk supports the educational needs of previously disadvantaged children and their communities in South Africa. In doing so, the foundation aspires to give opportunity and hope to the leaders of tomorrow. To this end, LumoHawk is committed to a number of different projects around various parts of South Africa.
Sport is also an incredible conduit to education and a valuable mechanism for learning the lessons of life. Believing that healthy minds need healthy bodies, LumoHawk also assists with funding of sports clothing and equipment to encourage participation in whatever sports activities are available to the children in their area.
A bright future starts with good sight
It is estimated that as many as 20% of under privileged children in South Africa have eye sight issues. Often, these children battle at school not because of a learning disability, but because they can’t see.
Pivotal Data is a proud headline sponsor LumoHawk’s project, Vision 2020. In LumoHawk’s efforts to achieve Madiba’s legacy of educating our nation, and thus assisting the children with sight issues, we are assisting with fundraising efforts to raise 3 million rand per annum!
To date, project Vision 2020 has screened over 4 000 children, tested the eyesight of
1 149 and gifted 358 pairs of glasses to children from underprivileged communities.
